Meet Justin McBride, the explosive four-star recruit who’s been making waves on the court. According to 247Sports, he’s the 13th overall recruit in the state of Texas, and it’s easy to see why. Over the summer, McBride teamed up with the legendary Jamyron Keller and proved he’s got what it takes to compete with the best of the best. On Nike’s EYBL circuit, he put up impressive numbers, averaging 13.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game. But it was at the Peach Jam Invitational where he truly shone, dazzling spectators with his incredible skills.
During the tournament, McBride averaged a staggering 16.8 points and 6.3 rebounds per game, putting his opponents on notice. And that 33-point game? It was a thing of beauty, with McBride sinking 5 out of 8 shots from beyond the arc. He also averaged 7.7 points and 5.5 rebounds for USA Basketball’s U-16 national team, which went 6-0 and won a gold medal at the 2021 FIBA Americas U16 Championship as a member of the 2021 USA Basketball U16 National Team.
It’s no wonder that McBride had his pick of top-tier schools, with offers pouring in from Arizona State, Arkansas, Colorado State, Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri, TCU, and UNLV. But after careful consideration, he ultimately decided to commit to Oklahoma State University, where he’s sure to continue dominating the court and making headlines.
